WC NNPGS, GPRN/NSCN, FGN, NPF, SBNP extend Christmas greetings

GPRN/NSCN ato kilonser and WC, NNPGs convener N Kitovi Zhimomi, GPRN/NSCN chairman M.B Neokpao Konyak, Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) and Naga People’s Front (NPF) and Dimapur Bengali Samaj (DBS) have wished the people of Nagaland for the ensuing Christmas season.


While celebrating Christmas, Zhimomi in a message called upon the people to look into their hearts individually and collectively and seek God’s forgiveness for their trespasses and shortcomings. He said Christmas was a time for all leaders and followers to repent, seek God’s wisdom, mercy and forgiveness.


Calling for retrospection and rekindling their faith in Jesus Christ, he wished that the hopes, dreams, desires and aspirations for the Naga nation, Naga society and the children be strengthened this festive season.
The WC, NNPGs convener pointed out that there was no earthly extravagance, no pompous display of wealth or social announcements and gatherings when Jesus Christ was born, adding that only wickedness, selfishness and sinful nature of man was in full glare in the shape and form of King Herod.


He said the rulers perpetrated murder of innocent out of sheer suspicion, apprehension and fear on the eve of Christ’s birth and after, and that humanity was in turmoil. He mentioned that this evil trait persisted even today. According to him, there was a great plan and promise for humanity in the eyes of Almighty God. On that silent and holy night 2,000 years ago, there was hectic activity in the heavenly realms.
And, as foretold in the scriptures, Zhimomi stated that God’s only son’s birth in human form was no ordinary one. The guiding star, the three wise men with their gifts from the east, the angels announcing and anchoring the special birth.
“There was a heavenly choir serenading the birth of our Lord; Peace on Earth and Goodwill To Man! They announced. This is the greatest gift to humanity,” he pointed out.


GPRN/NSCN: GPRN/NSCN, chairman Gen. (Retd.) M.B Neokpao Konyak has wished citizens the same joy and happiness experienced by the “shepherds tending to their sheep in the hills that Holy Night two thousand years ago”.
“May we experience the choir of Heavenly Angels in our hearts”, Neokpao said and wished that New Year ahead will be bountiful with abundance and rich blessings from the Lord.


FGN: Extending Christmas greetings, FGN kedallo, Namrikiu Zeliang said it was through the endless mercy of the Lord that everyone will be celebrating the birth of Christ Jesus, “the redeemer and the saviour of mankind” along with the rest of the world.
Mentioning that sovereignty and freedom was not a thing which will be given to the people by but belongs to the people and needed to be defended at all times, Namrikiu said that the final solution lies with God alone.


He informed that national office outside of “our homeland” was functioning smoothly now and on the occasion called upon the people to rejoice to be a people and a nation under the protection of Almighty God.


NPF: Leader of NPF legislature party, Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu) behalf of the NPF party rank and file extended Christmas greetings to the people of the state. In his greetings, Azo called upon the people to remember the birth of Jesus Christ while celebrating Christmas. “Let us thank God for the gift of life that He has given us, for the joy, love and peace that we find in Christ and embrace the warmth of fellowship”, Azo said.


DBS: Dimapur Bengali Samaj (DBS) while extending Christmas and New Year greetings expressed the hope that the Lord usher in abundant joy, peace and happiness to everyone.


SBNP: Sahakar Bharati Nagaland Pradesh (SBNP) has extended joyful and prosperous Christmas to the people of the state. While extending greetings, SBNP president, Thepfusatuo Rio and general secretary, Anand Mishra requested everyone to celebrate responsibly, avoid rash driving and have a safe Christmas with friends and family.
