WC, NNPGs questions NSCN (R) kilonser for filing FIR

DIMAPUR, MAY 28 (NPN)

Working Committee (WC) of the NNPGs led by convener N Kitovi Zhimomi has expressed concern over the recent incident involving NSCN (Reformation) finance kilonser Mughato Chophy.
In a statement, the committee said the NNPGs were taken aback with the factors that contributed to the occurrence of the incident between the NSCN (Khango) and NSCN (R) when the whole Naga nation was looking forward for an early Naga solution while marching in peace in order to secure the future of the younger generation.
Expressing concern over the steps taken by Chophy, the WC however said it remained to be seen whether his decision to file a First Information Report (FIR) at the Diphupar Police Station against the intrusion group was driven by necessity or response. WC wondered how a revolutionary worker like Chophy, a kilonser himself, had sought the intervention of local police, terming it very much condemnable.
Describing his strategy of dragging the level of Naga issue from Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to the level of local police as controversial that tarnished the spirit of revolutionary patriots, WC said Chophy had proved his ignorance as a kilonser, and hence his intention as a revolutionary worker was doubtful so far, to the extent that he was likely to be an alleged “undercover agent of our adversary.”
Further, according to the WC, the identity of Chophy was a subject of public debate, suggesting that he should have pursued appropriate channels for addressing his grievances.
The committee pointed out that it would have been prudent on his part to raise his concerns with the chairman of the Ceasefire Supervisory Board to initiate necessary actions.
Mentioning that it was yet to ascertain whether the recent action against Chophy was a reaction against his provocation, the WC said a newly-floated group that claimed to be the “NNPG” had made assertions.
The committee clarified that it did not hold any opinion concerning the internal operations of any organisation at this juncture.
