Western Chakhesamg Mothers’ Association (WCMA), Chakhesang Women KrothoDiphupar (CWKD), and Thipuzumi Women Welfare Society Dimapur(TWWSD), expressed outrage at the brutal murder of RüchüvolüVenyo (45) of Thipuzumi Village, by her husband, SepratsoVenyo(35)of Thüvopisü village, on May 31, at Diphupar.
In a joint statement, WCMA, CWKD, and TWWSD, demanded justice and immediate action against the perpetrator. The women bodies also urged law enforcing authorities to award exemplary punishment and to not release the perpetrator while under investigation and till the end of justice. It also appealed to all sections of the society to condemn the barbaric act. They further expressed solidarity and conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for the eternal rest of the departed soul.
TTKK: Thipüzumi Thenoko Krotho, Kohima (TTKK) has expressed anguish on the death of Ruchuvolu allegedly by her husband, SepratsoVenyo at Diphupar, Chumoukedima on May 31 night.
TTKK in a condemnation said that the untimely and premature death of a mother of four, caused by her husband was rude shock to the women folk. Condemning the brutal and inhuman act of the perpetrator, especially at the hands of a person who is expected to be her protector,the TTKK said the unspeakable crime deserved condemnation from all right thinking people.
TTKK further appealed to the law enforcement agencies to thoroughly investigate the matter and befittingly punish the culprit according to law of the land.
