The release stated that, the innocent student has been inflicted with mental torture which has also impacted other students with fear psychosis.

It was also learnt that the accused along with five of his companions had come with ill intent, where later the student was taken to Kohima from his residential place, Wokha at around 9 a.m on February 26.

The unions jointly appealed to all concern citizens to vehemently condemn the barbaric act and those people involved in connection to the incident. It also appealed the law enforcing agencies to book the culprit as per the law.

While cautioning any person who acts as a barrier towards the peaceful environment of Wokha town and its jurisdiction, the WCSU stated that it would take its own course of action, where people involved in committing crimes will be solely responsible.
