Western Chakhesang Youth Organization (WCYO) has condemned the barbaric murder of K Lisila Chakhesang on May 18. In a press release, WCYO president Shelepa Rhakho and general secretary Lhikhro Kreo stated that Lisila was murdered by one “Imti Meren Chang, sub-inspector (SI) Nagaland police on May 18, at Dimapur”. WCYO said they were shocked that a uniformed personal, supposed to protect the citizen, committed such heinous crime. It said such act was highly condemnable and has no place in the society. WCYO appealed to the responsible authority to deliver justice and award the highest punishment to the culprit according to the law of the land. WCYO has also expressed heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family members.
