WOKHA, JUL 27 (NPN): The Wokha District Cricket Association (WDCA), in collaboration with the Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA), successfully concluded a free cricket coaching clinic for Under-19 boys and girls at the all-weather cricket practice pitch, Public Ground, Wokha town. The week-long program was held from July 20–27, 2026.
The clinic was conducted by BCCI A-Level certified coach Nehal Ahmed and trained strength and conditioning coach Sulanthung Kithan (BPed), with assistance from Ranji player Nzanthung Mozhui and Wokha district player Romokhon Humtsoe.
A total of 40 boys and girls (all Under-16) participated in at least one session, where they were imparted basic skills covering all aspects of batting, bowling and fielding. The initiative aimed to nurture young talent and provide grassroots exposure to structured cricket training.
Expressing gratitude, WDCA acknowledged the support of NCA in making the free coaching clinic possible, highlighting its importance in promoting cricket development among youth in the district.
