Wildlife Division, Dimapur (WDD), organized a one-day training program on handling and maintenance of tranquilizing guns at Protection Camp, Intanki National Park (INP) on February 26.
A press release from WDD wildlife warden, Tokaho H. Kinimi stated that trainees were given hands-on training on handling, maintenance and shooting, using Dan-Inject Rifle Model JM.DB.
The training was imparted to prepare executive staff to meet challenges posed by human-animal conflicts, animal rescue operations and rehabilitations.
The training was conducted by Tranquilizing Unit under Wildlife Division, Dimapur.
Altogether 15 personnel from the Arm Protection Force, Intanki National Park ‘A’ & ‘B’ participated in the training program.
