Week-long skill training for rural youth

A week-long Skill Training of Rural Youth (STRY) was organized by ATMA Niuland from October 3 to 9, at DAO office, Niuland. A press release by ATMA Niuland stated that Project Director & DAO, ATMA Niuland, Neiku Tsido in his welcome speech encouraged participants to have positive attitude, pointing out that adversity can be easily overcome through positive mindset. He also challenged participants to use social media wisely.


Deputy Project Director, ATMA Niuland, Avitoli K Yeptho, while encouraging the participants, challenged everyone to replicate technology addressed to them in their respective villages. Participatory lecture was delivered on spawn production, mushroom cultivation, its nutritional importance, post-harvest management and value-addition were also discussed at length over the training period.


Demonstration on spawn handling, mushroom bag filling and its incubation method were also shared to the participants. The release added that BTM, Vinatoli K Yeptho, ATM, Hitokali Jimo, ATM, Hitoka J Chishi and ATM, Kaiho Achumi were the resource persons of the programme.
