WENN Bazaar records Rs. 1.14 crore in sales

DIMAPUR: The fifth edition of the Women Entrepreneurs Network Nagaland (WENN) Bazaar 2026 concluded at Agri Expo, Chümoukedima, with total sales of Rs. 1.14 crore over three days from October 15 to 17 under the theme “One Nagaland, One Marketplace: Women Entrepreneurs from Every District,”.
The event highlighted the growing contribution of women-led enterprises to Nagaland’s economy and recorded consolidated sales of Rs. 1,14,35,829 and attracted more than 13,000 visitors. It brought together 167 women-led enterprises representing all districts of Nagaland and generated over 1,500 employment opportunities.
According to the organisers, the fifth edition emerged as one of the largest gatherings of women entrepreneurs in the state, providing a platform for businesses to showcase their products, connect with customers and explore opportunities to expand their markets.
Beyond retail sales, WENN Bazaar 2026 placed significant emphasis on business-to-business (B2B) trade, connecting participating entrepreneurs with buyers and trade partners. The initiative aimed to facilitate bulk orders, repeat supply arrangements and distribution partnerships, creating opportunities for businesses to sustain growth beyond the three-day event.
The Bazaar also served as a learning and networking platform for women entrepreneurs. Ten specialised workshops were conducted on business development, innovation, leadership, marketing and enterprise sustainability, equipping participants with practical knowledge and skills to strengthen their ventures.
Alongside the workshops, mentorship and networking opportunities enabled entrepreneurs to exchange experiences, explore collaborations and gain insights into business expansion. The initiative reflected WENN’s broader objective of developing a comprehensive support ecosystem for women-led enterprises rather than limiting its role to organising a marketplace.
WENN acknowledged the support of government departments, financial institutions and corporate partners in making the event successful.
The sponsors included the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Nagaland; Department of Women Resource Development; Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM); North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (NEDFi); Ministry of Textiles; Apex JK Motors Nagaland; Okusa Toyota; Progressive Motors; State Bank of India; India Post; and Titan World.
The official partners were the Department of Agriculture, Symbios, Action Power Line, MeanMachine, Synergy Group, Akashvani Kohima, Kaki Marketing and Nagaland Post.
The organisers said the results demonstrated the increasing role of women-owned businesses in the state’s economic development, particularly in generating employment, promoting entrepreneurship and expanding market access across districts.
With participation from all districts, the Bazaar also reinforced the importance of creating a common marketplace where women entrepreneurs could access customers, build business relationships and explore opportunities beyond their immediate local markets.
Building on the momentum generated by the event, WENN said it would continue strengthening market linkages established during the Bazaar and support women entrepreneurs in expanding their businesses, scaling up operations and reaching wider markets.
The organisation reiterated its commitment to empowering women-led enterprises across Nagaland through business development, networking and sustained market access, with the aim of promoting inclusive economic growth across the state.
