WENN concludes six-week basic fashion design training for 28 women in Chumoukedima

The Women Entrepreneurs Network Nagaland (WENN) on February 19, concluded its six-week Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme (ESDP) on Basic Fashion Design at CENTY J, 5th Mile, Chumoukedima.
The training programme, supported by MSME Dimapur, benefited 28 women participants and aimed at equipping them with essential skills in fashion design and entrepreneurship. During the course, participants received hands-on training in design principles, fashion illustration, pattern making, garment construction, and business fundamentals necessary to establish and sustain fashion ventures. To enhance the learning experience, resource persons from the District Industries Centre (DIC), Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), and various banking institutions conducted sessions on financial literacy and government schemes available for entrepreneurs. Local entrepreneurs also shared their experiences, offering practical insights and motivating participants through their entrepreneurial journeys.
The valedictory programme was attended by women entrepreneurs and representatives from MSME, who lauded the participants for their dedication, creativity, and commitment throughout the training.
