The Western Rengma Hoho has been formally constituted under the aegis of the Rengma Hoho, marking a significant step in regional community organization and representation. The formation was finalized during a meeting held on October 11 at Hotel Seb Tower, Dimapur.
In a press release from Rengma Hoho informed that the newly formed Western Rengma Hoho comprises the Rengma Public Organisations of Dimapur, Chümoukedima, and the Rengmapani Village, along with Rengma communities from Peren and Niuland districts. It includes constituent units such as Mothers’ Associations, Youth Organisations, and Students’ Bodies.
Following the meeting, the office bearers for the 2026–2028 tenure were elected. Er. Njilo Kemp will serve as president, supported by vice presidents Jochübu Thong and Peter Magh. Niyalo Ghaponza has been appointed general secretary, with Er. Caleb Kent as secretary, and six other members with three advisory board members.
Executive membership comprises presidents and chairpersons of all constituent units, including RPOD, RPOC, RPOP, RPON, RPOM, and RPVC.
