Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) executives along with SDO (R&B) Dimapur division, EAC Aghunaqa, contractor N. Chisho Swu & sons, inspected the ongoing foothill road works stretching from Niuland town via Hovukhu village under Niuland District to Ralan area under Wokha district on April 7, 2025.
WSH through its media cell informed that during the inspection it was “utterly satisfied” to witness the good quality workmanship. The hoho said it also witnessed the construction being carried out as per the government’s specification in the DPR. WSH said foothill road has been a long-cherished dream of the Western Sumis in particular and Nagas in general. The hoho said that the road once completed would serve as a lifeline to the people of Nagaland in numerous ways and would automatically boost the socio-economic activities of the people.
WSH has expressed gratitude to chief minister Neiphiu Rio and R&B minister Kaito Aye, saying under their leadership the dream of having the historic and extraordinary Nagaland Foothills Road was being made into “a beautiful reality”.
WSH said such extraordinary and historic deeds would be “remembered in the annals of the Nagaland’s history.”
WSH has appealed to all the sections of people not to hinder or disturb the workers, contractor(s) in the ongoing construction of foothill road. The hoho appealed to the contractor(s) not to compromise in providing the quality workmanship and complete the project within stipulated time.
