Wet spell likely to continue in NE

Under the influence of strong southwesterly winds from Bay of Bengal to North Eastern States at lower tropospheric levels, rainfall is likely to continue in many parts of the region during the next five days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted.
IMD informed that fairly widespread/widespread rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm/lightning/gusty winds was very likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam-Meghalaya, Nagaland-Manipur-Mizoram-Tripura & Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim during next five days. It also informed that isolated heavy rainfall was likely over Assam-Meghalaya during next 5 days.
Further, it informed that thundersquall (wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph) & Hailstorm at isolated places was also very likely over Assam-Meghalaya & Nagaland-Manipur-Mizoram-Tripura & Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim on April 19, 2022.
