Wildfire destroys residence & rubber plantation at Jalukie

Wildfire at Jalukie burned down two residential houses and about 200 rubber plantation forest on March 29. 

A press release from chairman, New Jalukie Village Disaster Management Authority, stated that on March 29 midnight, a wildfire broke out and completely burned down two residential houses and about 200 rubber plantation forests at Samjai Colony New Jalukie. 

It further added that village authority could not rescue any items on time due to nationwide lockdown on COVID-19 pandemic, and further requested concerned authority to provide relief assistance for victim’s families on humanitarian ground at the earliest. 

It stated that the families were in dire need of assistance at this crucial period.
