A strong windstorm swept through the College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry (CoVS&AH) in Jalukie, Peren district, on April 15 causing significant damage to the college’s infrastructure.
According to the college, the roof of the Dean’s office was blown away leading to severe damage in the establishment section, accounts section, and the dean’s chambers. Despite the intensity of the winds, most staff members escaped injury, except for one faculty member who sustained a minor head injury.
In the aftermath, the affected sections have been relocated to the new Administrative-cum-Academic Block, which is yet to be officially inaugurated, ensuring the continuation of daily operations without disruption. Meanwhile, the college administration informed that they were assessing the extent of the damage caused by the unexpected storm.
