A group of irate public of Wokha town on Friday night reportedly ransacked and partially damaged the office of the NSCN (I-M) town command. According to police, the incident took place, after two cadres of the NSCN (I-M) were apprehended while reportedly extorting money from vehicles at Santsuphen near Wokha. Police said they apprehended one Renjamo Khuvung and Ngachanbam Kasar. After getting to know of the incident, police said a sizeable crowd gathered at the police station demanding severe punishment to the cadres. Later, a crowd went on a rampage to the NSCN (I-M) town command office and took out files and documents and burnt them in the heart of Wokha town.
