Wolam Nyukyan (New Pangsha) Students’ Union (WNYSU) 58th general session was held on December 29 at Wolam Nyukyan (New Pangsha).
According to DIPR report, during the session Metsio Thai Award was presented. The first Metsio Thai award recipient went to Tsuwing M Lam from Wolam Nyuking village who secured the top 16th position in HSLC examination 2020. The award was felicitated by president, Khiamniungan Students’ Union (KSU), P. Hatho. During the felicitation programme, Tsuwing Lam encouraged the young students to set targets and constantly motivate themselves.
It may be noted that the award was initiated by WNYSU, honoring pioneer, late Metsio Thai, the first matriculate and first pre-University passed among Khiamniungans and founder of KSU and WNYSU. The award was approval by KSU on December 22, 2017 for the topper in HSLC examination among Khiamniungan tribe.
