Wokha orgns demand transparency

Organisations led by Lotha Youth Hoho (LYH) have appealed the selection committee/board of PMGEP interview slated for July 30 and 31 to maintain transparency in the selection process. This was resolved in a joint meeting called by LYH with Lotha Hoho, Kyong Students’ Union, Wokha District Entrepreneurs’ Association (WDEA), Team Metamorphosis and Kyong Youth Initiative on July 29 at Wokha.
In a joint press release, the organisations have urged the concerned authority in the selection process to verify documents and project viability as “benefits provided by the government agencies have not trickled down to the deserving unemployed individuals in the district”.
Further, the signatories stated that if the demands were not complied with, it would not co-operate in future even if “misunderstandings” should ensue. They also made it clear that it would stand strong for deserving applicants until justice was brought as per the demands.
The signatories are: Lotha Hoho joint secretary Likhao Humtsoe, Lotha Youth Hoho president R. Nchumbemo Ezung, WDEA acting president Z. Ponathung Kikon, Kyong Students’ Union president Amos Odyuo, general secretary WDEA convenor M James Tungoe, Kyong Youth Initiative, Yiben. R. Humtsoe, Team Metamorphosis member Amos Humtsoe and general secretary ACAUT Wokha unit Renbenthung Ngullie.
