Wokha Town Council team visits Mokokchung Municipal Council

DIMAPUR: A team of councillors from the Wokha Town Council (WTC), led by chairperson W. Myingthungo Kikon, undertook an exposure visit to the Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) on June 12.
The delegation held a coordination meeting with the MMC team, led by chairperson Imkongchuba, at the MMC Conference Hall. During the meeting, both councils shared experiences on ongoing activities, discussed challenges faced by urban local bodies, and exchanged strategies for improving municipal services.
As part of the visit, the WTC delegation toured key facilities under the MMC, including the abattoir, compost plant and Material Recovery Facility (MRF).
The exposure visit was aimed at promoting collaboration and knowledge-sharing between the two councils, particularly in the areas of solid waste management, waste segregation and scientific disposal of waste, with the goal of enhancing service delivery and improving the quality of life for residents.
