Wokha Winter Fiesta-Music, Eco- Tourism & Adventure 2023 under the theme “Explore, Discover & Grow” that offers a holistic experience, blending music, eco-tourism and adventure is scheduled from December 7 – 13 organised by Team Metamorphosis.
The event will be graced by Ar. Jwenga Sep, MLA and Minister for Higher Technical & Education and Tourism, Temjen Imna Along as the chief guests in the inaugural and closing ceremony respectively.
The event is to be held annually with a vision to preserve and promote the rich eco-tourism along with the positive traditions and culture of their forefathers.
The event is a step towards promoting socio-economic sustainable development, better livelihood and a better future fostering a deeper connection with Doyang scenic beauty and the rich Lotha’s vibrant culture.
The Doyang river site dam located 18 km away from district HQ can be an idle spot for various water sports activities, musical gala, trekking and other recreational pleasures with its massive open water space.
With its rich natural resources and scenic beauty, adventures like mounting biking, motor boating and ziplining above the waters can provide extra thrills with a rushing adrenaline.
The organizers were optimistic that thousands of people from nearby Assam like Merapani, Golaghat and Jorhat will join in the festival extravaganza activities and further appealed and invited to every citizens of Wokha and nearby districts to come and enjoy the music, organic foods, indigenous games and adventures and also experienced the vast beautiful natural resources and the colourful Lotha Naga cultural heritage.
