Woman found dead in Bhandari

A 34-year old woman was reportdly found murdered inside the staff quarter of 7th NAP Bhandari on January 8. The victim was identified as one Nchumbeni Jami, employed as NCE at 7th NAP Bhandari. 
SDPO Bhandari James Jami told Nagaland Post, that police were informed about a foul smell emanating out from the quarter that was locked from outside. When police personnel broke open the main door, they found the body of the woman in a decomposed state. On inquest report, it was found out that the deceased was hit by a blunt object, SDPO said.  Further enquiry, revealed that she was living with a person named Samuel for the past eight months in Bhandari. However, his whereabouts is not known, Jami said.  On refusal to conduct post mortem, the body was handed over to the family members. A case has been registered under sec 302 IPC and investigation is on, he said.
BTLH condemns: Bhandari Town Lotha Hoho (BTLH) has vehemently condemned the brutal murder of N. Nchumbeni Jami (NC) 7th BN. NAP Bhandari. The Hoho said that the victim was living with Samuel Jongkor son of Lanuwati of Dibuia Village under Mangkolemba, Mokokchung district. 
In a pres note, BTLH chairman, Lisumo Jami and secretary David K Lotha said that the “suspected” person has been missing since December 31, 2016 and his whereabouts not know.  The Hoho has urged the responsible authority to trace the “culprits” at the earliest and booked according to the provision of law. It also urged all civilised citizens to condemn such kind barbaric act.
