The Court of Victo Sema, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Mokokchung, has on August 28, convicted Imjunglemla for the offence of culpable homicide not amounting to murder and attempt to commit suicide under Section 304 Part-I IPC and Section 309 IPC respectively.
According to assistant public prosecutor, Mokokchung M. Temjenwathy Imsong, the accused has been sentenced to undergo simple imprisonment for 10 years under Sec 304 Part-I IPC and one year under Section 309 IPC. The court further ordered that both sentences shall run concurrently.
