Women entrepreneurs trained on financial literacy

A one-day financial literacy training aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs and women-led business owners was conducted at the Town Council Hall in Phek Headquarters on September 11. A DIPR report informed that the training program was organized by the Women Entrepreneurs Network Nagaland (WENN) in collaboration with the Phek District Administration, with the State Bank of India (SBI) serving as the Knowledge and Technical partner.
The primary objective of the training was to equip participants with comprehensive financial knowledge essential for entrepreneurs’ success.


During the technical sessions led by SBI deputy manager Zhapuvi Savino and associate Nukshi Meren from SBI Phek, participants were educated on various aspects of financial management.


Several organizations participated in the event, including Chakeshang Mother Association, NSRLM, department of Health and Family Welfare Phek, Phek Town Baptist Church Women’s Union, Bank Sakhi (SBI), PDCCI, Angami & Lotha Baptist Churches, VF SHG, SHG-Kutsapo, Phek Area Mother Association, and Dig Pay Sakhi. The training session was chaired by Kewengule Therie, Finance Head for Women Entrepreneurs Network Nagaland, with the presence of Vekutholu Vero, Operational Head of WENN.
