Women’s futsal league in Kohima

A two-day, Women’s Futsal League organised by department of Youth Resources and Sports kicked off at AKIM ground, Kohima on Tuesday. Gracing the event, director of Youth Resources and Sports, Kethosituo Sekhose highlighted that the league has been organised to showcase the talent of women players to guests from Thailand, who were in Nagaland to scout a footballer.


He therefore encouraged the players to maintain sportsman spirit and discipline. A prize money of Rs. 50, 000 will be presented to the winning team. Referees were Micheal and Kezevituo. Women from above 14 years from four teams- NASA -C, Lengreng from Peren, IGS -A and IGS –B are taking part in the league.
