Three-day residential “hands on science workshop” for science teachers of Nagaland would be conducted from March 19 to 21 in the premises of the Development Association of Nagaland (DAN) at 4th Mile in Dimapur, to orient and help teachers to impart science education to students in a more interesting manner.
A press release by NIHESW, honorary director Dr. Vizovol Mekro stated that the main resource person for the workshop would be science activist from Kolkata, Dr. B.N.Das, who has conducted hundreds of workshops on science popularization all over India. It stated that the workshop was being organized by the Nagaland Institute of Health, Environment & Social Welfare, Kohima (NIHESW) and Vigyan Prasar, department of Science & Technology, Government of India, Noida (UP).
