Workshop on child safety, security for PM SHRI Schools held in Kiphire

DIMAPUR: A one day workshop on Child Safety and Security for PM SHRI Schools in Kiphire district was conducted at the DPDB Hall, Kiphire, on Friday.
According to DIPR, the workshop focused on emergency evacuation procedures, basic first aid, fire safety, assembly and evacuation protocols, and the roles and responsibilities of teachers and school staff during disasters. Sessions also covered child protection, psychological first aid, stress and trauma management, and appropriate psychological support for children in the aftermath of disasters and emergencies.
The programme was chaired by Berela T, District Project Associate, DDMA Kiphire, while the welcome address was delivered by Takatemjen Pongen, EAC Kiphire. A brief highlight on child safety and security for PM SHRI Schools was presented by T. Lichumse Sangtam, Assistant District Coordinator, DMA Samagra Shiksha, Kiphire. Narola Longkumer, District Education Officer (DEO), also attended the programme.
The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Zavito Ltu, EAC Kiphire.
