A workshop on vaccination of 15-18 years old and precaution dose to Health Care Workers (HCWs), Front line Workers (FLWs) and 60+ with co-morbidities was held on Thursday at the Conference Hall of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Mon.
A press release by medical department Mon stated that the district immunization officer (UIP&RCH) Dr. Shasinle Tep gave a powerpoint presentation on guidelines on 15-18years vaccination, guidelines on precaution dose for HCWs and FLWs and citizen above 60+ with co-morbidity and management of Covaxin vaccine.
Dr. Shasinle also requested the participants to widely publicise the session where vaccination for 15-18age group would be available.
Vaccine Cold Chain Manager UNDP, Sosopem Muinao also gave a detail presentation on COWIN updated vaccinator module for both precaution dose and 15-18years vaccination.
Further, the workshop included agenda on Intensive Pulse Polio Immunization IPPI, Intensified Mission Indradhanush and Routine Immunization microplanning.
The meeting was attended by all the senior medical officers, medical officers, IEC personals and the prodigal home.
Meanwhile, a demonstration on portable ECG on smart phone was given by Sunfox technology. The release informed that underthe initiative of Deputy Commissioner, Mon Thavaseelen K, the device sponsored by NASSCOM foundation would be distributed to six health units of Mon District, which is Tizit CHC, Wakching PHC, Phomching PHC, Chen PHC, Aboi CHC and Tobu CHC.
