Workshop on creative writing

One-day workshop on “documenting folk information, cultural theft and creative writing” was organized by Phek Government College (PGC) in collaboration with Barkweaver Publications, Norway on December 13 with eminent novelist, poet and winner of ‘Tata literature live’ award, Dr. Easterine Kire as the resource person. 
In the first session, she highlighted the need to create awareness on cultural thefts by outsiders. 
She also encouraged and challenged the faculty and students to start a movement where one could preserve and safeguard our rich culture and tradition by way of applying for patents. 
In the second session, she gave a lecture on ‘folk documenting’ and shared valuable tips to document such information. 
Earlier Principal, PGC, Dr. Vizovol Mekro welcomed the gathering. The workshop concluded with a session of interaction.
