A one-day workshop on “Basic Digital Skills and Use of Google Forms” was conducted for non-teaching staff by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at Sao Chang College on April 15, at the Conference Hall. The resource person was Tekameren Walling, Assistant Professor, Department of Botany.
The objective of the workshop was to enhance digital literacy and enable staff to perform day-to-day administrative tasks more efficiently in a technology-driven environment. Participants were introduced to tools such as Google Forms, Sheets and Docs as effective platforms for data collection and management.
Walling demonstrated the process of creating forms, designing questionnaires, adding question types, and sharing them through links.
He also guided participants on viewing responses, organizing data, and downloading it for further use. Practical examples, including attendance and feedback collection, made the session engaging and relevant. Emphasis was placed on hands-on learning to ensure that participants of all experience levels could benefit.
The session began with an encouraging note by Chubasangla and concluded with a vote of thanks by Takumpuba Lomou.
The workshop was described as a valuable initiative in bridging the digital gap and fostering a culture of continuous learning, highlighting that with proper guidance and encouragement, anyone can embrace technology and grow with it.
