Workshop on ‘Re-Engineering of DI & DICs’

National Institute – Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (NI-MSME) Hyderabad, organized a workshop on study for Re-Engineering of Directorate of Industries (DI) and District Industries Centers (DICs) in North East Region (NER) states at conference hall, MSME-DFO office, Sovima Village on Friday. The programme was sponsored by North Eastern Council.


Delivering a presentation and briefing the gathering on the workshop, project director, NI-MSME, Hyderabad, Er Sanjib Dey, highlighted on objectives of the workshop, that was aimed to revitalize DI and DICs with their industrial policies pursued by all the eight NER states, to generate employment by promoting enterprises in all locations, to promote secondary and tertiary sectors of economic activities, etc.


He regarded officials of DI & DICs, entrepreneurs, industry associations, students & teachers, newspaper editors and lead banker and their offices as stakeholders of the workshop.


Meanwhile, delivering a short note on the role of DICs for MSME Development, Functional Manager, DIC Dimapur, S Rarenbenla, stated that role of DIC was to guide entrepreneurs, provide feasibility & viability assessment, facilitate shame implementation, support functioning units, financial support and incentives, etc.


She also briefed the gathering on the schemes undertaken by DIC Dimapur and also informed the gathering on how and who could apply for the schemes.


Earlier, the programme was chaired inspector of Industries, Puloto KV Sema, short speech by joint director, MSME-DFo, Dimapur, Tali Longchar.
