Workshop on RI and MR elimination in Mkg

One day workshop on Routine Immunization (RI) strengthening, vaccine preventable Disease (VDP) surveillance and Measles and Rubella (MR) elimination was conducted by Department of Health and Family Welfare, Mokokchung on June 12.
A press release by NRHM, Mokokchung district programme management unit stated that the workshop was held at Conference hall, Chief Medical Officer’s Office Mokokchung with Dr. Shiela Longkumer and Dr.Takosunep DPO (UIP & RCH) as resource persons.
At the technical session the resource persons deliberated on learning from Covid -19 vaccination and integration with RI strengthening. Roadmap towards MR elimination in India, AEFI Basic concepts, management of anaphylaxis at session site, AEFI Investigation; role of hospitals and private practitioners, AFP surveillance: overview and updates, DPT Surveillance: overview and updates. Review of RI performance health facility wise were also deliberated.
The workshop was attended by CMO, Dy CMO, DPO (NCD), senior medical officers, medical officers, epidemiologist, BPMs, BACs and IDSP staff.
