Workshop on ‘tobacco awareness, sexual health’

Women’s Forum of St. Joseph’s College (SJC) Jakhama in collaboration with the Sociology department organized a workshop on “tobacco awareness and sexual health” on September 22 at SJC indoor stadium.
The resource persons for the workshop were K&T Keditsu Foundation Kohima, Dr. Thejavinuo Keditsu (Obstetrics & Gynecology) and Dr. Keduovinuo Keditsu (Oncology).
Dr. Thejavinuo Keditsu stressed on sexual health and hygiene and encouraged parents and young adults to have open healthy communication when it comes to sexual health. She also shared on some of the commonly prevalent sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and the precautionary measures to avoid them.
 During the second session, oncologist, Dr. Keduovinuo Keditsu advised the students to desist from indulging in tobacco usage in any form as tobacco. 
Earlier, the programme was chaired by BA 3rd semester student, Pewe-ii Tunyi, welcome delivered by principal SJC, Fr. Dr. S. Ousepparampili and vote of thanks by assistant professor Sociology, Dievileno Chasie. Altogether more than 1000 students attended the workshop.
