Workshop on value addition in soap making at PGC

DIMAPUR

Department of Education, Peren Government College, organized one day skills and promoting entrepreneurship among students on October 15, at College Conference Hall.
The first session was led by faculty SBI-RSETI, Peren, Iheirangle, as the resource person, who spoke on “Introduction to Value Addition in Soap Making and importance of Skills in Entrepreneurship”.
She emphasized the growing market for customized handmade products, and scope it has in the market, and also dwelled on the value that can be added to make soap essential as soap are not chemical added but it is naturally sourced.
The second session was conducted by practical trainer, Loyivani Humtsoe, who delivered step-by-step demonstration on soap making.
Participants were guided through the process of mixing ingredients, adding natural colors and fragrances, and shaping soaps and also engaged in hands-on practice, exploring value addition techniques and packaging methods.
