World Day Against Human Trafficking in Persons in Peren

Commemorating the “World Day Against Human Trafficking in Persons”, district level centre for women under ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ in collaboration with district administration Peren organized an online Essay competition under Peren district on the topic “Break the Silence, Break the Chains” on July 30. 

According to DIPR report, altogether, 12 students from the category of 9-12 participated in the competition. 

The first prize was bagged by Lemchila of Government Higher Secondary School, Peren; second by Suiyidaule of Pranab Vidyapith Hr. Sec. School, Dimapur and third by Iheichu Haibwang of Government Hr. Sec. School. The winners walked away with a cash prize of Rs. 3000/-, Rs. 2000/- and Rs. 1000/-. EAC Peren and EAC Jalukie handed over the prizes to the best three winners on behalf of DC Peren.

Meanwhile stickers campaign-cum-free distribution of sanitary mask at Jalukie was also organised by Peren district administration and district level centre for women in collaboration with CHILDLINE Peren under the theme, “Committed to The Cause – Working on the frontline to end human trafficking” to all the frontline workers and general public in Jalukie Town.

During the campaign, women welfare officer, Peren & centre coordinator CHILDLINE Peren along with the team sensitized the public on dos and dont’s, safety measures of public hygiene and social distancing.
