World Hepatitis Day 2016 observed in Mon, Wka

Along with the rest of the World, World Hepatitis Day 2016 was observed  by Mon Users’ Network with support from HepCoN, NUN, Kripa Foundation, NNP+ and NSACS on July 28, at Shansham office, Mon under the theme “Elimination”.
In a short address, DAPCU, DPO Longyim Tzudir lauded the programme organizer for taking initiative to make people aware about Hepatitis by observing the worldwide event at Mon. He further emphasized on the need of awareness on prevention and treatment for viral Hepatitis in the district.
Earlier, invocation prayer was proposed by OST DH, data manager Nahnyei while MUN secretary and event in charge, Sashi briefly highlighted on the significance of the Day.
WOKHA: Along with the rest of the world, TI NUN, WNP+ and DAPCU of Wokha observed “World Hepatitis Day” on Thursday with Dr. Tumchobeni as the theme speaker.  A press note by counsellor OST Wokha, N. Longshio Ngullie stated that Dr. Tumchobeni spoke on how to achieve elimination, create greater awareness, increased diagnosis and key interventions including universal vaccination, blood and injection safety, harm reduction and treatment of viral hepatitis. 
The programme was chaired by ORW TI (NUN) Wokha, Elhibemo Patton, special song was presented by Wonjano Khuvung, vote of thanks was delivered by PM TI (NUN) Wokha Loyivani Patton, welcome address by N. Longshio Ngullie, benediction was pronounced by nurse TI (NUN) Wokha,  Wonjano Kithan.
