World oral health month observed

As part of the ongoing observance of World Oral Health Month, a one-day dental camp was organised at Hebron Camp under the leadership of Dr. Weri Mero, Medical Officer, CHC Dhansiripar Block, Dimapur.
Altogether, 185 patients were screened during the camp. Of these, 61 underwent tooth extractions, 18 received GIC restorations, and 8 were provided temporary fillings.
In addition to dental services, beneficiaries were screened for blood pressure and diabetes, while free medicines for non-communicable diseases (NCDs) were distributed. To promote oral hygiene, toothpaste and toothbrushes were also provided.
Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials were disseminated during the camp to raise awareness on oral health and hygiene practices.
