World War-II peace rally culminates at Kisama

World War-II peace rally to commemorate the battle of Kohima culminated at the WW-II Museum Complex at Kisama on Saturday. The rally was earlier flagged off by advisor, Industries & Commerce, Hekani Jakhalu Kense from NAMSA Hq. Dimapur.

Addressing the participants at Kisama, the chief guest, German Consul General Kolkata, Barbara Voss, said Nagaland was not just a land of festivals but a land of surprises which she never thought she would find here in Nagaland. “We bear responsibility for the WWII and that’s why we wanted to participate. The war is over but we need to spread the message of peace today and this message should go to all the world,” she said.


In his speech, chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, expressed his appreciation to the participants for supporting the rally and remembering the efforts. Introductory remark was given by chairman NAMSA and advisor to CM & chairman IDAN, Abu Metha while NAMSA general secretary A Tovi Chophi proposed the vote of thanks.
