Walim Puthru Foundation Day (WPFD) golden jubilee was celebrated on January 29 at Chenmoho village with minister for Rural Development & REPA C.L. John and Yemwang Angh as chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
The jubilee celebration was marked by cultural dances from various culture troupes of Atosalim Chenmoho, Chenloisho Walim Women, Chingkhao Chingha Youth and Chenmoho Youth, felicitation and presentations to the pioneers and dignitaries.
Short speeches were delivered by S. C. Chingkap, VCC Chingkhao Chingha village, Wangmao Angh Chenloisho village and deputy commissioner, Mon W. Honje Konyak. Earlier, welcome address was proposed by ex-minister C. Noklem, while benediction was pronounced by lecturer, MTC Mon, Mankang.
