The 72 annual conference of Western Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Kuqhakulu (WSBAK) was held from December 6 to 8 at Kuhuboto town under the theme “Matured in Faith”. Around 2000 delegates from 168 Churches attended the programme.
A press release from WSBAK stated that Rev. Dr. Phughoto Sema was chosen to be the Executive Secretary of WSBAK for the tenure 2020-2024. The new Executive Secretary envisioned to take WSBAK a step ahead and accepted the responsibility bestowed upon him.
The speakers of the conference were: Director Sümi Baptist Convention, Rev. Dr. Khehovi Shohe; general secretary CBCNEI, Rev. Dr. Akheto Sema; Executive Secretary, Rev. Dr. Hevukhu Achumi.
While greetings were extended by Dr. Nihoto Chishi, Ato Kükau, president Western Sümi Hoho, Dr. Kakheto Zhimomi and N. Jacob Zhimomi, PHED Minister, Government of Nagaland.
Farewell programme was also organized for the out-going ES. The churches and association honoured the reverend for his selfless service rendered for the Kingdom of God. Dedicatory and installation prayer was offered by Rev. Dr. Akheto Sema.
