Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) has cautioned all about certain impostors masquerading as Western Sumi Students Union (WSSU) officials, asserting that they were in no way endorsed or recognized by the WSH and the Western Sumi Kukami Hoho (WSKH) or any of its frontal organizations whatsoever.
WSH through its media cell maintained that the only authentic and the bonafide WSSU endorsed and recognized by WSH, WSKH and all frontal organizations was the one led by Kughato Achumi as president, who was officially installed on February 9, 2021 at WSSU office, Thahekhu in the presence of WSH, WSKH and frontal organization president and officials.
WSH said that Kughato had “obediently paved the way” for Kakiho Awomi to be the WSSU president during the last tenure. In view of the pandemic and the lockdown situation prevalent last year, WSH said Kughato could not be installed. If not, Kughato should have now even completed almost a year as WSSU president.
However, WSH said that some individuals “with vested interests who are all hell bent to bring discord, disharmony and disunity amongst the Sumi community are tormenting this division and problem.”
In this regard, WSH has cautioned everyone be it the district administration, government officials, departments, business establishments, institutes and media houses or individuals not to entertain any WSSU group other than the one led by Kughato Achumi.
