WSH office building inaugurated

Office building of the Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) was inaugurated at Chekiye village, Dimapur on Saturday. The building constructed at the cost of about Rs.1.30 crore houses a conference hall with 300 seating capacity in the first floor, 10 rooms in the ground floor, two rooms in the basement and 10 washrooms. The building was inaugurated by minister PHED Jacob Zhimomi and WSBAK executive secretary Rev.Dr. Phughoto Sema offered dedication prayer.

Speaking at the inaugural function, Jacob Zhimomi acknowledged all the responsible involved in the planning and construction of the WSH building and expressed hope the building would be utilized for growth and development of the Western Sumis in particular and Sumis in general.

Asserting that he was trying to work for the progress of Sumis, the minister sought cooperation and support from the public. 

Sating that a leader should humble oneself and serve the people, Zhimomi called upon all to acknowledge and respect one another.

On the occasion, the minister lamented the problem in land acquisition that was hampering development and urged all responsible to part their land for development.

In his presidential address, WSH president Dr.Kakheto Zhimo highlighted the process of land acquisition and construction of the building. He also acknowledged predecessors and all those who contributed and worked for the successful competition of the building.

WSH president also informed that the conference hall could be used for meetings and events.

Earlier, Dr. Kisheto, pastor Chekiye Baptist Church offered invocation, Hokhupu, head GB Chekiye village delivered welcome address, WSKH president, Vihuto Yepthomi delivered greetings, WSH general secretary H Kisheto Chishi presented progress report, WSH vice president, Atomi Swu proposed vote of thanks, Rev. Ahoshe Chophy pastor NCRC offered benediction while Abel T Assumi and company presented a special song. The programme was chaired by WSH vice president, Shikaho Zhimo.

The function was attended by state legislators including Er. Picto Shohe, Azheto Zhimomi and Vikheho Swu besides a host of leaders from WSH and Western Sumi frontal organizations and GBs.
