WSH, WSKH on transfer/posting of CP Dimapur

Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) and Western Sumi Kukami Hoho (WSKH) while appreciating Nagaland chief minister, T.R. Zeliang and home minister, Y. Patton for posting Joseph Hesso as the new Commissioner of Police  (CP) of Dimapur, expressed concerned over the demand for cancellation of the transfer order.
In a joint statement, WSH president, Zheshito Swu; general secretary, Vikato K. Achumi and WSKH president, S. Vihuto Yepthomi said the hohos during a meeting on Friday appreciated the move and urged that the posting formalities be completed at the earliest.
They also termed it as “disturbing” that “some common urban bodies, which are actually formed for some particular social objectives” were interfering in the posting and transferring of government officials. “Though issues of social concerns need to be voiced out by various NGOs and individuals alike, interfering in government business such as posting and transfer should be left in the ambit of the government,” they said.
The hohos said that the new CP, Joseph Hesso has commendable service record and earned several distinguished medals, which itself was a testimony and spoke volumes of his efficiency and an excellent policeman. While asserting that the officer deserved to be posted at such crucial place as Dimapur, the hohos at the same time sought cooperation from all sections to make Dimapur a better place.
