WSKH celebrates silver jubilee

Western Sumi Kukami Hoho (WSKH) celebrated its silver jubilee on the theme “preserving ancestral values” at the Sumi cultural centre, Vihokhu village, Niuland on Tuesday.

Speaking at the programme as chief guest, minister of Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Jacob Zhimomi said that the Sumi community should live according to God’s word.
Jacob said that developments would come as Niuland had now become a new district, however, it was the duty of the people to cooperate with the society, churches and the state government.
Earlier, jubilee monolith and memorial building was inaugurated by the chief guest while short speeches were delivered by Western Sumi Hoho president, Shikaho Shimo and ex-presidents of Western Sumi Kukami Hoho.
Jubilee blessing was delivered executive secretary of Western Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Küqhakulu, Rev. Dr. Phughoto Sema while silver jubilee souvenir was released by founder president of WSKH, Dr. P. Nihoto Chishi.
