
Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Urban Division, sponsored by Water Sanitation and Support Organisation (WSSO), PHED Nagaland, under the aegis of Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) conducted “Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) Exercise 2018” from March 7-10 in rural villages.
A press release by SDO (PHED) Chumukedima, Er. Ichirang Zeliang, said that the exercise was conducted at Tenyiphe -I , Sovima Village, 7th Mile Village, Unity Village 5th Mile, 5th Mile Model Village, Diphupar B’ Village, Chumukedima A’ Village, Virazouma Village, Tenyiphe -II, Toulazouma Village, Padumpukhuri, Aoyimti, Zani Village, L. Hotovi Village and Shozukhu Village under Chumukedima block and Senjum Village, Kashiram Village, Kashiram Ao, Signal Village Aoyimkum from Maintenance Sub-Division under respective sub-Division staff and consultant.
The release further said that the exercise was attended by council members, WATSAN Committee, Anganwadi workers, youth and students, women representative and NGOs comprising of 25 members from a village.
The appraisal consisted of village profile, appraise of water supply, sanitation and toilets usage and the status of ODF of the district as well as the safe disposal of solid and liquid waste, the release said.
