Based on its earlier demand made, Western Sumi Students’ Union (WSSU) has once again called upon the concerned authority to immediately commence current academic session of the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER). A press release by WSSU president Nito Achumi and general secretary, Angukato Yeptho stated that there was sufficient temporary accommodation available at Niuland town for running the institute, while the permanent complex was constructed at the proposed site at Hovukhu village. While assuring its fullest cooperation towards the convenient commencement of the institute, the union re-affirmed its stand that “any slippery element rendering obstructive intervention in the process from either end would not be tolerated”.
