WSYF seeks facilities at Niuland, Kuhuboto health centres

Appreciating the state government for announcing additional incentives for healthcare workers, the Western Sumi Youth Front (WSYF) has, however, sought better facilities at Niuland and Kuhuboto health centres.

WSYF through its media cell expressed deep concern over the lack of basic facilities for the healthcare workers at Niuland and Kuhuboto health centres. It said that there was no supply of face masks, face shields, gloves, sanitisers, PPE kits and adequate oxygen at two healthcare centres

The youth body claimed that Niuland had only three oxygen cylinders while Kuhuboto had only two.

WSYF has, therefore, urged the Dimapur district task force (DTF) and the chief medical officer (CMO) Dimapur to provide better facilities at the two health centres in the interest of the citizens of the two areas.

WSYF said that the nodal officer Y Kikheto Sema and his team during their visit to Niuland had witnessed the “pitiable state of the health centre”. In this regard, WSYF has appealed to the nodal officer to intervene and deliver necessary facilities to Niuland and Kuhuboto.

WSYF assured to assist Team Dimapur in all possible ways as and when needed.

Meanwhile, the youth front has appreciated the tireless services rendered by the frontline workers especially the healthcare workers across the state during the pandemic.
