A kilometre long approach road to Platinum College Western Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Kuxakulu (WSBAK) Resource Centre, Nihokhu village, Niuland, was inaugurated on April 11 by Principal Secretary, Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Fisheries & Aquatic Resources and Parliamentary Affairs, Y. Kikheto Sema.
Speaking at the programme, Kikheto expressed gratitude to Chief Secretary, Sentiyanger, for his support and to Er. Inahoto Yeptho, EE Dimapur, for supervising the work. He described Platinum College as one of the fastest-developing institutions in the state, blessed with a large eco-friendly campus. Addressing church leaders, he emphasized the values of tolerance and forgiveness, urging the church to continue promoting peace.
Kikheto remarked that a road is not merely concrete but a vital connection between the college and the outside world. He said the new infrastructure would enhance comfort, safety and efficiency, reflecting the management’s commitment to a safe and supportive learning environment.
Earlier, WSBAK executive secretary, Rev. Dr. Phughoto Sema, delivered the welcome address, while Platinum College Principal, Dr. Kalito Chishi, pronounced the vote of thanks. The programme was chaired by Hetovi Ayemi, Member BoG.
