
Nagaland’s deputy chief minister, Y. Patton, Thursday called on the Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh, at his official residence in New Delhi.
In a statement issued by the PRO (IPR) Nagaland House on Thursday, the deputy chief minister, during their discussion, deliberated on the financial situation of the state. He urged the Union Home Minister to release Special Plan assistance (SPA) liabilities of Rs. 863.95 crore at the earliest for the state.
Patton, who also holds home portfolio, requested for security related expenditure (SRE) re-imbursement and to include mobile internet charges under SRE.
Union Home Minister agreed to take up the matter and assured Patton of all possible help for the state.
On Wednesday, the deputy chief minister also met the Union Minister of State for Home, Kiren Rijiju, and appraised him about the current situation in the state.
Meanwhile, sources informed that all 12 BJP legislators were camped in the national capital.
BJP sources said the BJP legislators were in Delhi to pay courtesy call to the Central leaders.
