YAN condemns anti-social activities

Taking serious note on recent “ugly incidents” in and around Dimapur, Youth Association of Nagaland (YAN) while condemning the perpetrators has urged upon the law enforcing agencies to take seriousness and ensure extra measures in coordination with the civil societies and public to control the menace for the security the society. YAN citied the  murder of  an elderly women at Mpai village Jalukie town on December 30, rape case of minor girl at Bhandari jurisdiction on December 30 and abduction of caretaker Naga cemetery Dimapur on December 31 as some of the recent anti-social activity. A press release by YAN vice president, Taka Temjen and spokesperson, Alise Sangtam stated that without favour the culprits has to be apprehended at the earliest and awarded illustrative punishments so as to discourage any person from resorting into such activities in the days to come. YAN also stated that Nagaland State is popularly known as one of the Christian state in India and thus “we” will have to prove better in so many aspects then to allow any illegal activities to freely take place especially during important seasons, not forgetting the good ethics that has been descended from “our” ancestors. Father, YAN has urged every Naga soul especially the youth to be more responsible in this era of needs than to become liability to “our” own people and to the world.
