Yachem Bühü Pangthai Dimapur (YBPD) celebrated Phom Monyiü festival at its Morung, Eralibill, Wednesday, with Phom Baptist Attoi Dimapur, Sr. Pastor C. Hamba and additional secretary to government of Nagaland, M. Shayung Phom as speakers.
Highlighting the gathering on the importance of celebrating Phom Monyiü festival, the speakers said such celebrations promote unity, peace and love within the community. They also encouraged the gathering to carry forward the spirit of oneness and belongingness to uplift the Phom Society and Nagas in general.
The speakers also encouraged organising such programmes so that the children and youth are educated about the community’s cu ethical values, customs and traditions. The celebration began with invocation by Osangtemjen, members of Dimapur Yachem Student’s Union presented folk dance while H. Heni said the benediction.
